Abstract

The modernization of Islamic education is an effort to integrate Islamic values with current developments, while the epistemology of science discusses the origins, nature, methods and limitations of knowledge in Islam. This study highlights how modernization affects the way Islamic education is taught and understood, with a focus on the paradigm shift from traditional to contemporary. The epistemology of science in this context includes an understanding of how Islamic knowledge adapts to modern science and technology. Through this approach, it can be understood how the modernization of Islamic education not only updates the curriculum and teaching methods, but also considers the role of epistemology to ensure relevance and sustainability in providing holistic and comprehensive education for Muslims in the contemporary era.
